My campaign is built on the idea that working together, we can bring back the American Dream to our communities, many of which have been overlooked for decades by our leaders in Harrisburg. I’m proud to offer genuine solutions to some of our most pressing problems, and I hope you’ll join me in discussing these important topics.
Real Solutions on Issues that matter
Solving the Opioid Epidemic
For too long, politicians have only given lip service to this issue while taking money from drug companies and for-profit rehab services. Despite their talk, year after year we’ve continued to see crime, deaths, and overdoses ravage our communities. I myself lost my brother, mother, and aunt to the opioid crisis, but the worst part is, I’m not alone with a story like this. Every day I hear from people who have had this crisis affect their lives, and we need real solutions.
Lowering the tax burden on homeowners
Our region’s property taxes are out of control. Year after year, we ask our homeowners to pay more, and the result is those on a fixed income no longer being able to afford their taxes and those looking to buy a home are discouraged from doing so. The end result is home values suffer and more properties are left vacant to become blights. We must end this cycle by cutting property taxes and allowing more families to realize the American Dream of homeownership.
Providing good schools and opportunities
We need good schools that prepare our children to succeed in the jobs of tomorrow, and successful schools mean successful communities. I want to increase funding to our schools and implement partnerships with the trades to prepare students for high-paying jobs that employers in our region are looking to fill. Additionally, we need the state to increase funding to our struggling schools here in Southwest PA. The share of education funding that the state provides is both too small and unequally given to the big cities, leaving our taxpayers to pick up the tab.
Ending Corruption in Pennsylvania
Our state is continually ranked among the most corrupt in the county, and it costs taxpayers in fraud, waste, and lost investment. It’s time we clean up government and end the massive corruption for good. I want to pass term limits, campaign finance reform, a reduction in the size of the legislature, and an end to gerrymandering once and for all. These changes won’t come easily, and the entrenched will fight us every step of the way, but for the good of our commonwealth, we need to come together and make sure our leaders are serving for the public interest and not their own.
